Established in 1909, YWCA Penang is the eldest sister of the 9 associations in Malaysia. Their presence in the northern district is strongly felt in the area of advocacy in partnership with other women’s and welfare NGOs.

YWCA Penang provides support services for women and their families in the form of day care and pre-school education. They also organise Holiday Kids’ Camps and English Camps for upper primary and lower secondary students.

Their Annexe & Hostel provides safe & affordable accommodation for women.

Members meet on the first Monday of each month from 10:00-11:00 a.m. for Bible study, prayer and fellowship over coffee.
